reverse racism

is the funniest phrase ever.

It's like, if you're racist toward a white person it's in a class all it's own. Kind of like white slavery. Why specify, you know? Because it's super-duper special when this stuff happens to whites? Of course it is. Anyway...

I've heard the name Tim Wise before but I'm pretty sure this is the first thing I've read by him. It's a black white role-reversal editorial sort of in the vein of something Lauren posted a while back only applied to the things some tea-partiers and conservatives get away with instead of beauty standards.

Also, here's a piece from The Nation lambasting Nightline for their Why Can't a Successful Black Woman Find a Husband special.

As always, sorry for grammatical and/or punctuation errors and run-on sentances (LAZY R PEOPLE TOO!!)

drilling future generations

Obama just opened up off-shore drilling all along the east coast, gulf, and Alaska.

He also nominated a former pesticide executive, Islam Siddiqui as chief agricultural negotiator in the office of the US Trade Representative. While Siddiqui was at at Croplife, he is said to have taken part in closed-door negotiations with the EPA in furtherance of testing pesticides on children.
